Mental health is a growing concern amongst teenagers and young adults. College campuses provide a great opportunity to foster supportive environments that integrate mental and physical health into the academic experience, breaking stigma by celebrating holistic wellness rather than concealing it. The Grove envisions a proposal for a new mental and physical health outreach center near the new South Quad on LSU's campus. Positioned along a major pedestrian corridor, the building would serve as a secondary student health center, complementing the existing facility across campus by offering counseling and therapy services, hosting lectures and events, and acting as a social hub for students to decompress after a long day of classes.

Timber elements are employed throughout the project in both the interior and the exterior to invoke a sense of calm and attachment towards nature. The central courtyard opens up towards the Tigerwalk, creating an inviting yet sheltered space where students can congregate and commune. the outreach center's form responds to the surrounding topography, while a series of large timber canopies anchor the building to its site, creating shade and guiding pedestrians towards the performance hall. Strategic level changes throughout the project results in a dynamic spatial sequence that enriches the user experience and encourages healthy social interaction as occupants move through the building.
