Leadership

After winning the NOMA Student Chapter of the Year award in 2024 at the NOMA National Conference, I continue to serve my school's chapter as Treasurer. By managing the organization's funds and participating in executive board planning meetings, I help ensure LSU NOMAS continues to provide opportunities and resources for minority architecture students.

Volunteering

Light-a-Fire is one of the many volunteer opportunities LSU NOMAS offers throughout the year. A couple times a semester, we travel to local K-12 schools and educate students on what is means to be an architect in the hopes of inspiring them to pursue architecture as a career in the future.

Community

NOMAS was one of the first organizations I joined at LSU and quickly helped me connect with fellow peers and professionals in the area. As an executive board member, I am grateful for the opportunity to return the favor to new, incoming students. As a club, we host social nights to bring students together and give them a chance to relax outside of their studios, as well as Lunch & Learn's and professional development meetings to support older students preparing to apply to internships.
